Chris’ journey
Chris’ journey to becoming a prominent CPA is marked by grit and determination. Originally, he earned a degree in economics and worked for Boyd Coffee Co. and then for Hynix Semiconductor, where he was a buyer and negotiated multimillion dollar deals. When he was laid off, however, he realized he was just a number at these large corporations, and he decided to make a career change.
But when he was offered a full-time job that paid half the salary he formerly earned, he began a new journey: juggling a demanding work schedule, online classes, studying for the CPA exam, and being Super Dad. Through hard work and determination, he has since built a successful career as a CPA.
Chris lives in Elmira, Oregon, with his wife, Susie, and their four children: Andrew, Peter, Luke, and Elizabeth. When he’s not working, Chris enjoys coaching baseball, building items for his kids, and taking care of his family’s small farm.
